My name is Khalid and I will be the college rep for Wolfson. I am studying HSPS after successful completion of the Cambridge Foundation Year. Please feel free to contact me at any point with any difficulties you are experiencing, whether that be personal or academic.

Pros

  • A range of students from various countries which is great for networking.

  • Grounds of the college are very scenic.

  • Meals are well priced for students and there is a good café based on site Monday to Friday

  • Porters are very friendly and will help with any issues.

  • Library facilities are very good with a range of study skills sessions offered each week

Cons

  • The college is based outside the city centre, so a bicycle is very advantageous.

Washing Facilities

  • The college has two laundry rooms each fitted with 4 washing and 4 drying machines.

  • Morning or evenings is the best time to get laundry done.

Prayer Space

  • The college does not have a prayer space, but it has been raised by the president and it is something that is getting investigated.

Halal Food

  • Halal food is currently not provided in the cafeteria but is provided at formals, if requested.

Fridge/Freezer Provision

  • The space you have will depend on how many people are sharing. From my experience last year, the space is limited and would not recommend buying too much food.

  • I have requested to use my own small air fryer due to meat traces in the oven and this is something you can request.

Ensuite

  • The college is very accommodating when it comes to requests for ensuites and when speaking to Muslim students no one has had an issue.
